Watercolor Paintings & Prints
Capturing the Essence of the Natural World
Welcome to The Painter’s Nest, my corner of Appalachia, where I capture the essence of the natural world in watercolor paintings while sharing my love for nature and art with others. All are welcome here, from fellow artists and nature enthusiasts to my avid bird nerds and aspiring painters. Join me in fostering a communal space for creativity, instilling an appreciation for our land, and embracing all of nature’s beauty.
Meaningful Greetings
In the natural world, everything is connected. In the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives, it’s easy to forget that truth. If you’re looking to foster deeper connections with the people in your life, few gestures are as meaningful as a handwritten letter. The Painter’s Nest offers a variety of greeting cards featuring original watercolor paintings.
Our greeting cards are printed locally in Wheeling, West Virginia, with archival inks on textured cardstock. Please drop by The Painter’s Nest Shop to browse the selection.

About The Artist
A Mountain State native, Jes Reger Davis is a watercolor artist and teaching artist living and working in Wheeling, West Virginia. Through loose, unformed brushstrokes and the natural drips, runs, and blooms of watercolor, she captures the wonders of the natural world. Inspired by Appalachia and its rugged beauty, her work explores our relationship with nature, often blurring the lines between documenting her observations and capturing the essence of the world around her. When not in the studio or teaching workshops, she travels in and around West Virginia with her husband and dog seeking inspiration and adventure.
